Summary

Transitional T1 G3 bladder cancer treatment varies by spread. For single-site tumors, transurethral resection with intravesical therapy is effective. Multi-site cancers require radical cystectomy for best outcomes.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate treatment outcomes for T1 G3 bladder cancer based on disease spread (monocentric vs. pluricentric).
  • To compare the efficacy of different treatment modalities.

  • Retrospective analysis of 25 patients with transitional T1 G3 bladder cancer treated between 1980 and present.
  • Patients were categorized into monocentric (12 cases) and pluricentric (13 cases) disease groups.
  • Treatments included transurethral resection (TUR) with intravesical chemotherapy (Doxorubicin or BCG) or radical cystectomy.
