Summary

Brucellosis is endemic in Portugal, with neurobrucellosis presenting diverse symptoms that complicate diagnosis. This study reviews eight neurobrucellosis cases to clarify clinical features and improve diagnostic strategies for this rare neurological complication.

Brucellosis is endemic in Portugal, with a noted incidence increase in 1994.
Neurobrucellosis (NB) is a rare complication (5-10% of chronic infections) with varied presentations.
