  • To evaluate the outcomes and patient satisfaction of thymectomy for myasthenia gravis.
  • To assess Danish results from Odense University Hospital between 1980 and 1994.

  • 33 patients underwent thymectomy for myasthenia gravis.
  • 16% achieved complete remission, and 44% experienced reduced symptoms and medication needs.
  • No significant influence of patient factors (sex, age, illness severity, symptom duration) or thymus histology on outcomes was observed.
