[Group therapy of obesity in children and youth (author's transl)]

There are social, family-bound and individual factors as a cause of obesity. Changes of weight in 326 pupils are demonstrated as results of a longitudinal control during their school-life. The need of prevention and therapy of obesity in children and youth is stressed. The author deals with the effect of a group therapy in 19 boys and 24 girls. She has proposals to help solving the social problems of obesity.
