Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the functional capacity of the CD27 molecule on highly purified NK cells.
  • To elucidate the role of CD27/CD70 interaction in NK cell activity and cytotoxic function.

  • Highly purified CD3- CD56+ NK cells (>98% purity) were obtained via flow cytometry.
  • NK cell activity was assessed using a 4-hour 51Cr-release assay against CD70-transfected cells.
  • Effector-target conjugate formation was analyzed after coculture with fixed CD70-expressing cells.
