Abstract:
Machinable bioactive glass ceramics (MBGC) has been employed in maxillofacial augmentation as a substitute for bone grafts in 36 patients with satisfactory results. Two years' follow-up did not show inflammatory reaction and rejection of the implant. Clinical applications of MBGC proved its reliability.
