Background:

Cryptococcosis is a serious fungal infection often treated with antifungal agents.
The potential of adjunctive antibody therapy for cryptococcosis has been explored historically.

Observation:

Three patients with cryptococcosis received intravenous rabbit anticryptococcal antibody alongside amphotericin B in the 1960s.
The antibody treatment was generally well-tolerated by patients.

Findings:

Administration of rabbit antibody led to detectable serum Cryptococcus neoformans agglutinins in all patients.
Two out of three patients showed negative serum latex tests for cryptococcal antigen after antibody treatment.
