Abstract:
The management of 499 cases attending Moorfields Eye Hospital and St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, is described. The method of examination and differential diagnoses, together with the indications for treatment with light coagulation, cryosurgical techniques, cobalt plaque applications, cobalt beam therapy or the linear accelerator and chemotherapy, are listed in terms of the experience gained with this number of cases. Nowadays, the survival rate is approximately 90%.
