Villous adenoma of the rectum diagnosed during labor
Abstract:
A villous adenoma of the rectum was first discovered when it was forced through the anal canal during the second stage of labor. This is the first case of its kind reported. The management of this case is presented along with a discussion of the characteristics and possibly premalignant behavior of the villous adenoma.
