Background:

Observation:

  • A 47-year-old male engineer presented with a persistent, severely forward-bent walking posture.
  • The posture developed after low back pain, which later resolved, but the gait abnormality remained.
  • Physical examination revealed bilateral 10-degree hip flexion contractures.

Findings:

  • Gait analysis demonstrated exaggerated anterior pelvic tilt during upright walking in terminal stance.
  • This excessive pelvic tilt was significantly reduced when the patient adopted the forward-bent posture.
