Summary
Early diagnosis of bowel ischemia is possible using lactic acid (LA) and creatine kinase (CK) levels in plasma and peritoneal fluid. Xanthine oxidase (XO) and inorganic phosphate (IP) also aid early detection, unlike serum CK.
