Enzymatic synthesis of adenosine 5'-O-(3-[35S]-thiotriphosphate)

A method for the enzymatic synthesis of adenosine 5'-O-(3-[35S]thiotriphosphate) is described. The method involves the thiophosphate exchange of adenosine 5'-O-(3-thiotriphosphate) with [35S]thiophosphate with the aid of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase and phosphoglycerate kinase in the presence of 3-phosphoglycerate. The method is also applicable for the synthesis of guanosine 5'-O-(3-[35S]thiotriphosphate).
