- The brachial artery trifurcated into ulnar, anterior interosseous, and posterior interosseous arteries, with an absent common interosseous artery.
Findings:
- A high-origin radial artery with an aberrant course was identified.
- The brachial artery termination pattern was unusual, lacking a common interosseous artery.
Implications:
- This anatomical variation highlights the importance of detailed pre-operative assessment in upper limb surgery.
- Misidentification of the radial artery could lead to severe complications, such as limb loss, if mistaken for a vein during injection.
