Abstract:
We report two rare cases of acute toxoplasmic hepatitis in patients that were serum positive for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. Although Toxoplasma gondii is the main causative agent in infections of the central nervous system (CNS) in patients with AIDS and is known to cause widely disseminated infection in this clinical setting, few reports exist documenting involvement of the liver in these patients.
