Abstract:
The benefits of exercise to healthy individuals and cardiac patients is well established. Mortality rates and morbidity rates are reduced significantly by engaging in low intensity exercise. A large proportion of the population do not engage in regular exercise. Healthcare professionals should be proactive in dissipating positive information regarding safe exercise participation, thus reducing the risk factor of physical inactivity.
