Area of Science:

  • Cardiology
  • Genetics
  • Pathology

Background:

  • Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD) is a hereditary cardiomyopathy.
  • Characterized by fibro-fatty replacement of the right ventricle, leading to electrical instability.
  • ARVD poses a significant risk of sudden cardiac death due to ventricular arrhythmias.
