Summary

This case study examines a patient with myelodysplasia and tuberculosis, noting that tuberculosis treatment temporarily improved blood counts. The conditions recurred and worsened, leading to acute myeloid leukemia and treatment resistance.

Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are a group of clonal hematopoietic stem cell disorders.
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
The interplay between MDS and concurrent infections like TB requires further investigation.
