Xanthogranuloma with massive hematoma in the third ventricle: case report

Background:

- Massive hematomas in third ventricle xanthogranulomas can cause rapid deterioration, independent of hydrocephalus.
- Radical surgical extirpation is recommended over aspiration for xanthogranulomas and colloid cysts of the third ventricle due to risks of recurrence and hemorrhage.
