Intraethnic violence in a Hawaii school: a mental health consultation experience

This paper explores the dynamics of a violent confrontation between local-born and immigrant Filipino students in a Hawaii high school. Social and psychological issues underlying the incident are considered, and pragmatic aspects of mental health consultation during a crisis situation in a school setting are discussed.
