Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the efficacy and safety of a first-generation intraprostatic stent (Prostakath) with a second-generation stent (ProstaCoil).
  • To evaluate parameters including ease of insertion, migration, infection, encrustation, and indwelling time.

Main Methods:

  • A comparative study involving 117 patients with prostatic obstruction.
  • 49 patients received the gold-plated stainless-steel Prostakath under sonographic guidance.
