Abstract:
To determine the prevalence of age-related hearing loss in Spain, a study was made of 127 patients age 65 or older (79 women and 47 men) who were seen in a primary care clinic. Age-related hearing loss was present in 54.6% and had a statistically significant relation with smoking.
