Abstract:
The transfusion of red blood cells may induce an immediate immunological risk and prompt reactions of the immune system, causing the production of alloantibodies. Therefore, it is presently vital to assess the benefit-risk ratio of treatment, to be fully aware of the reality of risk and to prevent immunological complications and reactions.
