Extensive extramedullary hematopoiesis in a thyroid nodule

Summary

Extramedullary hematopoiesis, the formation of blood cells outside bone marrow, was found in a thyroid nodule. This rare finding occurred in a patient diagnosed with primary myelofibrosis.
