Abstract:
Inflammatory cells and endothelial cells do interact in patients with vasculitis. At present, knowledge of normal inflammatory mechanisms is being used as an aid to understanding the dysfunctionality seen in vasculitis. In addition, it is tempting to recruit ANCA as critical players in development of the lesions but definitive proof for this remains elusive.
