[Study of nursing teachers of university diploma courses in nursing science]

The aim of the present investigation is to focus on the role of nurse teachers at the basic nursing university programme (DUSI), especially to describe their social and professional characteristics as well as aspects of their positions. The results from the present study show a weak role and position and great variations in the nursing programme between universities. It's therefore recommended and urgent to review the nursing courses at university level, the role of nurse teachers within the university as well as their need of further education.
