Summary
Prolonged low complement levels (hypocomplementemia) beyond eight weeks in poststreptococcal acute glomerulonephritis (PSAGN) patients do not rule out the diagnosis. Kidney function remains normal in these cases, suggesting watchful waiting may suffice.
