Maternal selenium levels and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)

This study investigated selenium (Se) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) levels in relation to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). No significant difference was found in Se or GPx levels in infants who died from SIDS, but Tasmanian residents showed lower antioxidant levels.
