Abstract:
Blood lead testing has been conducted in a large group of children who receive their health care from the Department of Defense. The blood lead levels were comparable to levels detected in civilian suburban settings. Among the 90,976 children who were tested, the incidence of children with blood lead levels > or = 10 micrograms/dl was 2.13%.
