Abstract:
Fatty acid ethyl esters have been found in human and other animal tissues following alcohol consumption and may be involved in the pathology of alcohol abuse. In this review, current information on the biogenesis of fatty acid ethyl esters is considered and their potentially deleterious effects are discussed.
