Abstract:
Pig kidney aminopeptidase P contains five cysteines. In the present report four of them are shown to be involved in disulfide bridges connecting Cys9 to Cys100 and Cys267 to Cys272. The fifth cysteine, Cys58, could be carboxymethylated in the complete protein under denaturing conditions but without reduction indicating that the SH-group was free.
