Abstract:
Low morale among community nurses has been well documented. Such demoralisation may be caused by a climate of continuous organisational change and financial stringency. The author argues, however, that there are many opportunities for community nurses to influence local and national health care agendas. She urges nurses to diversify in response to current demands.
