The perioperative nurse's role in assisted-fertility procedures

Infertility is the inability to achieve pregnancy within a stipulated period of time (ie, one year) or the repeated failure to carry a pregnancy to term. Advances in assistive reproductive technology have enabled many couples to overcome infertility, but health care providers need to remember that these couples require much support.
