Minimally invasive endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy offers a safe and effective treatment for severe angina pectoris in patients ineligible for traditional procedures. This approach significantly improves symptoms and exercise capacity with no major complications.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of minimally invasive endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy for severe angina pectoris in patients unsuitable for conventional treatments.

  • Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy was performed on 43 patients with severe angina pectoris.
  • Patients were ineligible for coronary artery bypass grafting or percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.
