Computer-based medical records: the next wave

Computer-based records systems for practice management are commonplace, but computer-based systems for monitoring patient care are not, and for good reason: Recording useful clinical information is far more complex than scheduling appointments and submitting bills. Even so, a lot of people are making progress toward computer-based medical records. Here are some of the issues involved.
