Legal issues in health care administration: what is important to the administrator?

Many legal questions are presented to hospital administrators daily. To determine the relative importance of their concerns, a questionnaire covering 57 legal issues was submitted to the administrators of all 196 Louisiana hospitals. The survey indicated that every issue was considered important, but some issues were considered very important. Sometimes the level of concern was influenced by the characteristics of the hospital, for example, size and ownership.
