[Random necessity, transcription initiation, induction of differentiation and need for randomness]

Review of recent achievements in investigations of transcription initiation mechanisms reveals that random commitment of cells to proliferation is due to the complexity of these mechanisms. In multicellular organism, this is not only a problem but is the basis of generation of required variety of cells.
