Summary

FK 506 (Tacrolimus) and Cyclosporine A (CsA) immunosuppression did not enable long-term survival of mature allogeneic hepatocytes. However, FK 506 facilitated the engraftment of donor-type ductular cells in rats.

  • Further research is warranted to understand the implications of ductular cell engraftment in the context of allogeneic hepatocyte transplantation.
