Abstract:
We constructed a system for clonal propagation of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) recombinants which contain drug resistant gene. Our system make it possible to isolate EBV positive clones form various cell types by in vitro infection and drug selection. Using this system, we isolated EBV positive cell clones from EBV negative Burkitt's lymphoma, T cell lymphoma and gastric carcinoma derived cell lines. In these cell clones, EBV latent gene expression were resemble to those of correspond EBV positive tumor cells. Our in vitro infection system could be applied for investigation of receptor analysis of epithelial cells.
