Summary

Infant feeding practices, including breastfeeding and early cow's milk exposure, do not appear to influence the risk of developing insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM). This study found no protective effect of breastfeeding and no link to early dairy product introduction in a high-risk population.
