Technologic advances in telecommunications and computer design will provide new tools for home health nurses to improve patient care and nurse efficiency. Participating in interactive electronic home visits, capturing vital sign data without visiting the home, scheduling daily events, teaching patients, and remotely managing the care plan all can be accomplished by using telehealth in home care.
