The opportunity to be certified as a generalist in home care nursing has been available since 1993, with the new certification as specialist available in 1996. Home Healthcare Nurse asked Janet Wilson, a nurse educator and member of our editorial board, to answer the questions: What is certification? Why should I think of becoming certified? and How do I go about it?
