Summary

The apolipoprotein E (ApoE) epsilon 4 allele, a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease, is linked to beta-amyloid (A beta) deposition in temporal lobe epilepsy patients. This suggests A beta accumulation may occur in conditions with ApoE epsilon 4 and A beta overproduction.
