Summary

Penile length in adulthood after bladder exstrophy reconstruction is often short due to a congenital deficiency in the corpora cavernosa size. Surgical correction may improve appearance but cannot fully restore normal penile length.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate if adult penile shortness after exstrophy reconstruction is linked to congenital defects in corpora cavernosa size.
  • To compare penile and pelvic anatomy in men with a history of exstrophy reconstruction to controls.
