Summary
Subarachnoid hematoma significantly enhances the vasoconstrictive effects of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) on piglet pial arterioles. This heightened response, observed in newborn piglets, suggests 5-HT is a potent cerebral vasoconstrictor following hematoma.
