Why this talk of "reinvesting" in health?

Are the cuts to health care over in Canada? A number of provincial governments appear to have called a ceasefire over further cuts, while others have announced a "reinvestment" in health care. Even the federal government seems interested in playing a more visible role in health. Faced with this new scenario, governments and policy makers will need to consider reinvestment strategies that best improve the health of Canadians.
