Abstract:
Few surgical procedures have been described for the correction of the transverse plane component of medial crossover toe deformity. A review of the literature failed to reveal any consistent approach that is widely accepted for treatment of this condition. This article provides a detailed description of a procedure, similar to procedures mentioned in the literature, that involves a medial displacement osteotomy of the metatarsal head. Clinical results on ten feet are reported.
