[The role of homeobox cluster genes in animal morphogenesis]

A review of the published data on function of the cluster homeobox genes in embryogenesis of Drosophila and higher vertebrates. The role of these genes has been considered as concerns formation of the positional information in the body of the embryo and its organs. This system of genes appears to be universal in animals with various developmental pathways.
