Background:

Poorly positioned dental implants can compromise aesthetic outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Conventional implant placement requires precise positioning for optimal function and appearance.

Observation:

A 64-year-old female patient presented with a fixed prosthesis on six malpositioned Brånemark implants in the upper jaw.
Despite attempts to improve aesthetics, the patient was dissatisfied with the initial prosthesis placement.

Findings:

A novel surgical technique involving implant explantation with surrounding bone and re-implantation into new sites was successfully employed.
Two implants were repositioned using a trephine drill, followed by a 6-month healing period.
After one year of function, all repositioned implants demonstrated stability, with minor marginal bone loss observed around one implant.

This technique offers a viable solution for correcting malpositioned osseointegrated implants, improving aesthetic results.
