Trauma in the rural setting

This article provides an overview of rural trauma, focusing on the challenges that exist for rural providers compared with those who work in urban trauma centers. The authors outline the role of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist working in trauma care at rural hospitals and address responsibilities involved in this expanded role.
