Summary

Swedish conscript traffic fatalities were analyzed. Alcohol and lack of safety belt use were major factors, especially during leave or travel to/from duty, highlighting the need for safer travel policies.

Purpose of the Study:

  • Increased safety belt usage and airbag implementation may further reduce fatalities.
